Irrigation Restrictions May 1 - September 30 

Pursuant Municipal Code 401.120, no person shall irrigate between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on any day from May 1 through September 30 each year. The purpose of this City Ordinance is to conserve groundwater resources and prevent the wasteful and harmful effects of irrigation during the mid-day hours.

Welcome Jason Lindahl new Community Development Director Community Development 04/04/2022

The City of White Bear Lake is pleased to announce that Jason Lindahl will step in as the City’s new Community Development Director. Lindahl will be coming to White Bear Lake from the City of Hopkins, where he has served as the City Planner since 2015. Prior to his time in Hopkins, Lindahl was the City Planner with the City of Rosemount for over twelve years. Lindahl has a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Minnesota State University, Mankato and a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota.

City Receives Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Finance 02/28/2022

(Chicago, Illinois)—Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to City of White Bear Lake for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2020. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

Recycling Cans and Cannots Environment 01/21/2021

The City was notified by Eureka Recycling in December that a recent materials composition analysis found that residuals increased from 9.56% in 2019 to just over 13%, which is a trigger point for action in the City’s processing contract with Eureka.

Public Service Announcement - Lead Community 01/01/2020

While the City's water supply does not contain excess lead, lead can get into your drinking water after it leaves the treatment plant, as it passes through your household plumbing system.  Homes built before 1940 may have lead service lines that connect them to public water.  Plumbing materials used before 1986 may also contain lead.
