NOTICE OF CONDUCTING MEETING BY TELEPHONE OR ZOOM

The White Bear Lake City Council will hold a work session at 6:00 p.m. using this same link provided for the regular meeting that follows.  This work session will be for consideration of a development proposal on city property.  No action will be taken at this meeting.

The City of White Bear Lake will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. electronically via Zoom pursuant to a statement issued by the Mayor under Minnesota Statutes, section 13D.021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The meeting room at City Hall will not be open to the public. 

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WHO WISH TO WATCH THE MEETING MAY DO SO BY VIEWING THE LIVE STREAM.

This will be a Zoom meeting, which can be viewed live here, or attended by Zoom link. Those who do not have internet or television access can dial into the meeting by calling 1-312-626-6799 and entering Meeting ID:  972 6971 9591.  If a passcode is needed, 828051.

Public Hearing Notice

This meeting contains a Public Hearing on the approval of assessments for 2020 road improvements and for the Birch Lake Improvement District taxing authority. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to allow property owners an opportunity to publicly express any concerns regarding the proposed assessment.  One does not need to speak in order to appeal their assessment (process below).

Assessment Appeal Process

  1. File a written objection signed by the affected property owner with the City Clerk prior to the assessment hearing.  You may utilize the dropbox in front of City Hall for these purposes, or contact 651-429-8508 to arrange for in-person acceptance. 

  2. Serve notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or City Clerk within (30) days after adoption of the assessment.

  3. File notice with the District Court within ten (10) days of notifying the Mayor or City Clerk.
